Beautiful antique Meissen pair of yellow birds perched on a tree stump. One with beak open like it’s chirping and other closed. Measurement: One is 4 inches high & other is 4.25 inches high. Very pretty set in person and condition is very good. Smaller bird has a small nick/flake around the beak tip. See last photo for details for the beak. See my other listings for more Meissen. This colorful Limoges box is a purple parrot, with a beige belly and a 22KT gold beak and legs, perched on a rock. He is decorated with red, blue, yellow, green, and white feathers and leaves, edged in gold, and a gold stripe is on the white base. A stemmed flower is the clasp, and a gold swirl is painted inside. Antique Derby Pair Goldfinch with Bocage. Stunning pair of Derby Goldfinches with bocage. In soft-paste porcelain painted in enamels, of a goldfinch perched on a tree, made by William Duesbury & Co. 4″H X 3.5″W. Provenance: Prominent private collection. Documentation: Similar pair (without bocages) in possession of the Victoria and Albert Museum, accession No. Condition: Chipping and losses to bocage and flowers, right bird has a tight hairline to neck, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected.
