This listing is for the pair of porcelain cockatoo statues that you see in the photos. Some research tells me that the “Made in Czechoslovakia” marks on the bottom of each of them indicates that they were made by Royal Dux between 1918 and 1938. I think that they are probably porcelain but they might be ceramic. Each statue measures supposed to 16 and 3/4 in tall. 1 of them ways to 2 lb 11.6 ounces while the other weighs close to 2 lb 15.8 ounces. Somewhat Square faces measure close to 4 and 3/4 by 5 inches. “9355” is impressed on the bottom of each statue. As the photos show, both of them are signed. I have not been able to decipher the signatures. The condition is much like you see it in the photos. The heavier one is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. The lighter one has two small chips opposite each other and connected at the top of the crest and one larger chip on the underside of the end of the tail. The two small chips feel smooth and look like they have a clear substance over them that might be glaze. Or, it might be something applied after they were chipped. Otherwise, the lighter one is fine. My photos should give you a good idea of the general condition of these two statues. I guarantee these statues to be as described and represented by the photos. The photos are part of the description; please look at all of them. Please note that the lighting in my photos is uneven, and there might be shadows or reflections. The colors on my monitor look close to but not exactly like the actual colors; different monitors may show different colors. I often say that an item measures or weighs “approximately” because no measurements are exact, and some things are difficult to measure. Often, I have a double-walled box custom made for larger items, which might result in a short delay. When I use packing peanuts, they are usually made from biodegradable materials. Thanks for looking at my ad.
