Pair of Blue and Purple Parrots in Chinese porcelain XX century marked. Sculptures in turquoise blue and purple under glazed Chinese porcelain on trunk with legs and beak with tongue… Perfect with many details from the face to the accent all worked. The parrot is described as an animal of great symbolic value by some ancient peoples. Depending on the culture of these people, the kite symbolises fire, the sun, truth and the unconscious. Ancient oriental peoples, such as the Chinese and Japanese, related the kite to the goddess Guan Yin. Mythological collectors’ pieces, such as the foo. 5.8 x 7 x 21 cm height.
