Regal American Bald Eagle Statue. Artist: Giuseppe Tagliariol aka Bepi Tay. Porcelain Figure, not your cheap, mall kiosk resin piece. Limited Edition piece # 269 of 500. 13″ tall x 16″ across (wings) x 20 deep (beak to tail feather). Wonderful condition: a glued tail feather, a broken tail feather, and a few chips on the tail feather ends. See last photo for close-ups. All in all I would say excellent for age and type of piece. Eagle’s weight: 17 lbs! Please msg with any questions or if additional photos are needed. Quality porcelain piece in a not so common pose. Giuseppe Tagliariol was born in Treviso in 1915. After studying under Cacciapuloti in Milan, and being made assistant professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice, Giuseppe opened a studio in Monza in 1952. Tagliariol also worked for Kaiser porcelain studios. Perhaps the most famous of his sculptures, an example of his Bald Headed Eagle (different from this one), was presented to President Ronald Reagan.
