Size:length 15.5 width 7 height 5 inch. The Cizhou kiln is a traditional Chinese porcelain craft, the largest folk kiln system in ancient China. It is also a famous folk kiln. It is distributed in Hebei, Henan, Shanxi and other provinces. The Cizhou kiln was burned in the middle of the Northern Song Dynasty. And reached its peak, the Southern Song Dynasty, Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties still continue. Its products are plates, bowls, pot, vase, basins, boxes, and so on. RARE BIG Pair of Parrots 32 cm Eggs and Spinach in Chinese Porcelain XX

BIG RARE Pair of 32 cm Polychromatic Parrots Eggs and Spinach in Chinese Porcelain XX. Egg And Spinach Glazed – A special version of this kind of glazed decoration is called egg and spinach because it is decorated with white, yellow, green and purple or brown stains. This decoration is made by imitating the sancai lead enamel decoration of the Tang dynasty, which occurred almost exclusively on ceramic instruments and figures, such as camels, horses or a variety of warriors of the time. In this case they are sculptures in Chinese porcelain with green colors on the body, white tongue, yellow on the beak, set on brown trunk and purple crest. Production and manual painting, colors drained with glaze on top, perfect as visible all the details in the photos. The bird symbolizes intelligence, wisdom, lightness, the divine, the soul, freedom, friendship. Because they have wings and the power to fly, in many cultures they are considered messengers between heaven and earth. The parrot is an animal that has as characteristic the fact of repeating the speech of those around it. There are several symbologies around this bird that, depending on the culture, can symbolize the fire, the sun, the unconscious and the truth. Among the ancient Orientals (Chinese and Japanese), the parrot was related to the goddess Guan Yin. Chinese porcelain includes birds in most of its porcelain. Rare Large Pair of Antique Chinese Famille Rose Porcelain Phoenix Birds. Majestic birds are modeled in repose, perched upon a beautiful flowering tree branch. Their plumage is well detailed and glazed in brilliant, jewel-toned famille rose enamels of bright greens, pinks, yellows, blues. This is older and most likely at the time the original owner had plaster placed in them. The plaster acts as a weight so they remain sturdy and you can also see that the plaster has aged over time. RARE Chinese Japanese Vintage Pair of Porcelain Parrot Figurines 9 Figurine

Vintage Pair of Green Parrots Figurines 9. Fine Porcelain Hand Painted. Made in Japan or China , XX Century. This beautiful pair of parrots are great examples of fine porcelain art. Each bird is sitting on a stump of some kind tree with red fruits and flowers. The pair has great hand painted details and you can appreciate high quality artwork. They look almost the same , but if you look closer and pay attention to details, you can see the small difference in size and posture and see that one is male and another female. Unfortunately , we could identify the maker and even the country of origin. (Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan or Hong Kong). There are 3 or 4 small hieroglyphs at the bottom of one figurine. Unfortunately we couldnt decipher them. Google translate is not helping either , only recognizing them as chinese characters, we knew that already. Any help from fellow eBayers will be appreciated. 9 ¼ tall x. Wide x 4 ½ deep. 2 lbs 16 oz (954 gram) both. Very good condition, no cracks, scratches , discolorations or loss of paint. There is a problem with 1 figurine. There is a large chip at the end of the wings. The defect is invisible if you look at the figurine from a normal angle or point of view. It only becomes visible if you turn the figurine upside down and check it from that underneath point of view. If you have it displayed on the shelf or mantle or display case , you cant see it. These beautiful figurines will be a great addition to your collection or home decor. All Arts, Crafts, Collectibles, Antiques and Vintage products are non – returnable.
