This vintage Italian figurine pair features colorful macaws with a hand painted glossy finish. The figurines are made of porcelain and were manufactured in Italy during the 1970s. The figurines are a great representation of Italian artistry and are sure to add a touch of style to any room. 10 x 3.75 x 7 in. Blue-small paint chip and missing leaf. Red-chip on base and paint chip on flower bud, they show beautifully. Sometimes there may be wear and the item may need cleaning. Vintage Chinese Sancai Glaze Ceramic Parrot 9.25 Tall. I have owned this beautiful bird for over twenty years. It is in excellent condition. A vibrant metal green glaze plus multi-color hues typical of traditional Chinese porcelain and pottery. Truly a collector’s piece to add to their Asian antiques. Sancai glazed parrot incense burners. Prized collectors’ items that often date to the. Late 19th or early 20th century. (Qing Dynasty or Republic Period). These figures are typically hand-sculpted and characterized by the traditional “three-color” (Sancai) glaze-primarily vibrant green, amber/yellow, and cream hues. As incense holders, they often feature a small hole at the top of the head or through the beak to disperse smoke, while sitting on a pierced rock-form base designed to hold joss sticks or cones. In Chinese culture, parrots symbolize. And were historically used in ancestor worship or as sophisticated “scholar’s objects”.

Rare to find double bird figurines from global I believe they’re probably handpainted. They are in wonderful condition. No chips cracks bit with confidence came from an estate in lower Michigan.
