An Absolute Stunning & Gorgeous. Hutschenreuther – Hans Achtziger Creation. (from the “Feathered World” Collection). This is truly a beautiful piece of artwork! The soaring seagull flying through an ocean wave One of Hans Achtziger’s most beautiful and elegant creations. This figurine is marked on the base. “HUTSCHENREUTHER SELB GERMANY” and the “Lion Stamp” is the high mark given to only the finest pieces of the Hutschenreuther Company (now owned by Rosenthal). A stunning piece your friends will talk about! No chips, cracks, flea bites or stains. Measures 14.5″ tall x 9.5″ wide x 8 deep. Impressed on the bottom is the artist’s name H. Hans Achziger was a member of the German “Werkbund” and one of the most influential porcelain modellers in the 20th century. He created dinner services and a large number of exceptional animal sculptures for the brand Hutschenreuther which was acquired by Rosenthal in 2000. He had previously worked at the Wallendorf porcelain manufactory in Lichte (Wallendorf). After his death in 1845, the factory was headed by his widow, Johanna Hutschenreuther, and her two sons. From 1860, they produced hand-painted gilded porcelains. A large part of the factory was destroyed by a fire in 1848, but it was rebuilt. The son of C. Hutschenreuther, established a porcelain factory in. They expanded from 1902 to 1969 and were renamed Porzellanfabriken Lorenz Hutschenreuther AG Selb (Lorenz Hutschenreuther Porcelain Factories Company, Selb).
