

















2 Ming Era Chinese plates with bird designs: 1 featuring chicken has much of the left edge restored with a darker ceramic compound- likely vintage repair from Indonesian artisan. One area is a bit raw, the rest of repairs have held up smoothly. The edge of this plate has a number of repairs along both sides, bit primarily the left. The repair are artfully done and the plate diaplays well. Firing flaws (sand flecks) in glaze of plate. Plate 1 is 11.5 inches diameter, 2.75 inches height of outer rim Plate 2 features peacock and only one edge repair on right side. Glaze has imperfections but no other chips or cracks besides one mentioned on edge with repair. Plate 2 is just a bit smaller: 11.25 inches, 2.75 inch height of outer rim. They still look great and each retain thick, shiny glaze with vivid blue painted scenes.
