In a style similar to artists Ronzan and Guido Cacciapuoti, this Mid-Century life-size macaw parrot in Italian Majolica is beautifully hand-painted in blue, red and yellow hues. This is in good vintage condition and has wear consistent with age and use, minor imperfection or baking flaw barely visible, adds to character and beauty of the sculpture. Vintage Majolica Shiwan Wucai Pottery BlueBird Gourd Pumpkin Squash Thanksgiving

Vintage Shiwan Pottery Porcelain Handmade Two Blue Birds perched on a gourd, pumpkin or squash with vines and a blooming flower. This wonderful pottery sculpture has an opening that could display flowers or a silk arrangement. It would make a perfect centerpiece for your Thanksgiving or holiday table. It makes a beautiful statement and will strike up a conversation! What makes this one exceptional is that it has the authentic mark of the maker and it much finer skill and attention to detail. This gorgeous pottery piece was made in the Shiwan district of China by the famous Bo Yun Pottery Workshop. Bo Yun specializes in pottery depicting nature and animals such as birds, bugs, flogs, and plants. These pieces were not massed produced. They were carefully made by hand in limited batches. They were not made for export, so were often brought back to the U. By persons visiting China on trips. Bo Yun is known is attention to detail and natural forms. Just look at the detail and care put into constructing these birds’ little feet and wings?? It exudes happiness and warmth! This piece is signed by the maker. It measures approximately 11 inches high by 8 inches wide. It is in beautiful vintage condition. There is unfortunately the tip of one of the leaves missing (please see photos for details). In feng shui, gourds are believed to have the power to expel evil spirits. The Chinese word for gourd-hu lu-is a homophone of the words’protection’ and’good fortune. Antique Chinese Tang Style Majolica Pottery. Parrot Sculpture- Earthenware Pottery, hand incised, hand painted. A beautiful, vibrant hand incised & thick. Chinese emerald green & yellow parrot candle holder. The eyes are black color. Other than a tiny base edge scrape/chip (see enlarged photo #11) the items is in Wonderful Condition! Measurements are 9 1/2″ Tall, 9″ Long, & 3 3/4 Wide across the base. I tried to research the age of this item but it was hard to pin point. The ages ranged between 1880 – 1920 from what I could find. Majolica Cockatoo Statue Meiselman Imports Made in Italy 20 H

Majolica Cockatoo Statue Meiselman Imports Made in Italy 20 H. Beautiful, very good condition. Very vintage, seems like 1970s. This beautiful piece of art has a signature and ID # K/987. It was made in in Italy for Meiselman Imports and it has the artist’s initials. The statue had a felt bottom cover that was peeling and I took it off. This has normal age-appropriate wear. Please see the last 3 photos. There are a couple of imperfections that I initially thought they were chips, but it seems to be areas where the paint didn’t quite stick. Antique Vintage Chinese TANG Style Majolica Pottery. A beautiful vibrant tri-colored Antique/Vintage. Chinese hand-painted emerald green & yellow parrot candle holder. Other than a base edge scrape (see enlarged photo #10) the items is in Wonderful Condition! Measurements are 9 1/2 Tall, 9 Long, 3 3/4 Wide across the base. Parrot Weight: 2 lb 5.6 oz. I tried to research the age of this item but it was hard to pin point. The ages ranged between 1880 – 1920. Thus, I labeled it Antique/ Vintage.
