RARE Antique 11 3/8 Japanese Kutani Arita Porcelain Bird Figurine Statue 19th C

An antique Japanese Kutani bird figurine atop a tree stump. Note the colorful art work and original gold gilding decoration as well as delicate openness at the legs and tree stump. This was from the collection of James Galley, a well-respected Orientalia Antique Dealer from the Philadelphia PA areapurchased many years ago by my consigner/customer from his estate. Measures a full 11 3/8 inches tall. Triangular base measures approximately 5 ¾ inch by 5 ½ inch by 5 ¼ inch. Weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces unboxed. Condition is excellent as there are NO chips, cracks, scratches, internal staining, crazing, broken or repaired parts present. 99% original gold gilding decoration present. Many of these items were not made on an automatic assembly line. Pair (2) Rare Old Japanese Kutani Okimono Porcelain Ducks Birds Beautiful Colors

This set is beautiful and very rare. They are made of porcelain and beautifully painted with the popular Kutani traditional colors. Kutani-yaki is a style of Japanese porcelain first established by Got Saijir, a member of the Maeda clan, who set up a kiln in the village of Kutani (now part of the city of Kaga) on the order of Maeda Toshiharu, ruler of the Kaga domain. The porcelain style is known for multiple colorssuch as greens, blues, yellows, purples, and redsand bold designs covering most of the surface of each piece. The larger duck measures: 6″ x 2.75″. The smaller one is 4.75″ x 2.25″. Both are in perfect condition. Large Pair Of Antique Japanese Kutani Porcelain Bird Statues Okimonos

LARGE PAIR OF ANTIQUE JAPANESE KUTANI PORCELAIN BIRD STATUES OKIMONOS. This listing is for a great pair of Japanese porcelain statues dating to the Meiji period. Each statue is made in the form of a bird perched upon a stump and are finished in various colored glazes and highlighted with gilt. They stand about 11.5 inches tall and one retains an old Sotheby Parke Bernet sticker on the base. Condition of the pair is very good with no apparent damages.
