This vintage set of 5 Rosenthal porcelain plates with a beautiful parrot motif would make a lovely addition to any collection. The plates are in very good pre-owned condition with age-related signs of wear including along the gold inside the rim. The plates measure 7 ¾” across and stand ¾” high. There are no discernable cracks, chips or stains. Two plates have very small dark spots. Please see photos to assess the condition as they are part of the description. Do you have any questions? CONDITION: Excellent, first quality, no defects. Measurements: 5 1/2″ high 5 1/2″ long 3 1/2 wide. This porcelain figure was produced in Germany by Rosenthal about 1942. It is entitled “Kirschkern Bieser” translated means “cherrystone is better”. The bird is beautifully modeled and skillfully hand painted. Coloring is rich and plumage well defined. The two most important factors, defined modeling and quality painting make this figure a highly desirable collectable. The Post Office requires this.
