Antique Derby Pair Goldfinch with Bocage. Stunning pair of Derby Goldfinches with bocage. In soft-paste porcelain painted in enamels, of a goldfinch perched on a tree, made by William Duesbury & Co. 4″H X 3.5″W. Provenance: Prominent private collection. Documentation: Similar pair (without bocages) in possession of the Victoria and Albert Museum, accession No. Condition: Chipping and losses to bocage and flowers, right bird has a tight hairline to neck, otherwise minor imperfections to be expected. This is a pair of Chinese vases, hand painted in Macau. The style of these vases is quite unique. They offer an ocean scene with waves and birds and the color pallet is different than many Chinese potteries. It is lovely that there are 2 of these! They could be a great addition to an Asian decor, or could be great at a beach house. They are truly beautiful and so unique. These vases are in excellent condition. No chips or cracks or crazing.
