Lovely Porcelain and Cloisonné Figure Maiden / Woman / Lady Holding and Feeding a Perched Bird with original box. This is a very elegant v. Intage Chinese porcelain and cloisonné figure / statuette. This figure depicts a young woman / maiden / lady-of-court feeding a bird on a hand-held perch. Some might call the woman “geisha”, though that is technically a Japanese term. Item is in very good condition, showing some damage and repair to both hands and. The hand holding the bird – see photos. Repairs seem solid and well done. Made in the Peoples. The hinge-lidded box shows some signs of wear, but is in stable condition with no repairs. Figure is not marked with a specific maker that I can identify, but are definitely vintage, 1970s or slightly later, I expect – as these were collected by my parents who travelled extensively and particularly enjoyed collecting cloisonné.
