Herend Rothschild Bird Dessert Plate. Fresh from a Dallas estate is this rare dessert/pie/salad plate in the Songbird- Bluebird (SOBI) pattern by Herend. The SOBI pattern is a hand painted image of a variety of birds sitting on branches. The plate has motif #1 of the Eastern Bluebird on the left side of plate. The blue painted mark reads, Herend Hungary H andpainted 1 520-0-00/SOBI-1. There is also an imprint mark that reads, Herend 1520. The design is a round white porcelain plate with a basketweave pattern near the edge, and a ruffled/scalloped rim trimmed in 24K gold. This shape and embossing of this plate matches those in Rothschild Bird pattern. The plate measures 8 1/4″ across by 1″ tall. This piece is in Perfect Condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs!
