Vintage Pair of Green Parrots Figurines 9. Fine Porcelain Hand Painted. Made in Japan or China , XX Century. This beautiful pair of parrots are great examples of fine porcelain art. Each bird is sitting on a stump of some kind tree with red fruits and flowers. The pair has great hand painted details and you can appreciate high quality artwork. They look almost the same , but if you look closer and pay attention to details, you can see the small difference in size and posture and see that one is male and another female. Unfortunately , we could identify the maker and even the country of origin. (Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan or Hong Kong). There are 3 or 4 small hieroglyphs at the bottom of one figurine. Unfortunately we couldnt decipher them. Google translate is not helping either , only recognizing them as chinese characters, we knew that already. Any help from fellow eBayers will be appreciated. 9 ¼ tall x. Wide x 4 ½ deep. 2 lbs 16 oz (954 gram) both. Very good condition, no cracks, scratches , discolorations or loss of paint. There is a problem with 1 figurine. There is a large chip at the end of the wings. The defect is invisible if you look at the figurine from a normal angle or point of view. It only becomes visible if you turn the figurine upside down and check it from that underneath point of view. If you have it displayed on the shelf or mantle or display case , you cant see it. These beautiful figurines will be a great addition to your collection or home decor. All Arts, Crafts, Collectibles, Antiques and Vintage products are non – returnable. Antique Japanese Kutani Porcelain Pottery Bird Statue Lamp, Meiji Period 19th C

The bird is made out of a thick vividly colored high quality enamel glaze. The feathers are painted realistically and have gilded details. His bird is exceptionally detailed compared to most Kutani porcelain birds of the same age. The new owner should be proud to own a one of a kind Kutani porcelain bird lamp. This is a large and heavy lamp. Overall, the porcelain bird lamp is in. This is a pre-owned antique item, therefore, some gilt is fading and there are light scratches on the porcelain. The lamp is working. There are no lampshades nor. Included in the sale. The porcelain lamp shaft (for lack of a better word) was added to the porcelain bird in the style of the tree stump. Please see the photos for the described conditions. Bird Height: 11 1/2 (29.21 cm) from porcelain base to head. Total Lamp Height: 25 1/4 (64.13cm) from wood base to finial. ANTIQUE JAPANESE AODE KUTANI PORCELAIN PARROT STATUE. The featured item represents a Japanese kutani porcelain sculpture that measures approximately 12 1/4″ tall and 6 1/4″ wide between the wings. The piece depicts a figure of a parrot perched on tree stump. The statue is hand painted in Aode Kutani style in aubergine, green, yellow and blue enamels as well as iron red and gilt. There is an impressed mark on the base but too small and illegible to make it out. The item comes in overall good condition with the only issue being a repair to the crest. Aside that, normal wear like some scuffs, marks and scratches as well small production flaws and imperfections. An antique Japanese Kutani bird figurine atop a tree stump. Note the colorful art work and original gold gilding decoration as well as delicate openness at the legs and tree stump. This was from the collection of James Galley, a well-respected Orientalia Antique Dealer from the Philadelphia PA areapurchased many years ago by my consigner/customer from his estate. Measures a full 11 3/8 inches tall. Triangular base measures approximately 5 ¾ inch by 5 ½ inch by 5 ¼ inch. Weighs 2 pounds 8 ounces unboxed. Condition is excellent as there are NO chips, cracks, scratches, internal staining, crazing, broken or repaired parts present. 99% original gold gilding decoration present. This set is beautiful and very rare. They are made of porcelain and beautifully painted with the popular Kutani traditional colors. Kutani-yaki is a style of Japanese porcelain first established by Got Saijir, a member of the Maeda clan, who set up a kiln in the village of Kutani (now part of the city of Kaga) on the order of Maeda Toshiharu, ruler of the Kaga domain. The porcelain style is known for multiple colorssuch as greens, blues, yellows, purples, and redsand bold designs covering most of the surface of each piece. The larger duck measures: 6″ x 2.75″.
