Vintage Pair of Green Parrots Figurines 9. Fine Porcelain Hand Painted. Made in Japan or China , XX Century. This beautiful pair of parrots are great examples of fine porcelain art. Each bird is sitting on a stump of some kind tree with red fruits and flowers. The pair has great hand painted details and you can appreciate high quality artwork. They look almost the same , but if you look closer and pay attention to details, you can see the small difference in size and posture and see that one is male and another female. Unfortunately , we could identify the maker and even the country of origin. (Japan, Mainland China, Taiwan or Hong Kong). There are 3 or 4 small hieroglyphs at the bottom of one figurine. Unfortunately we couldnt decipher them. Google translate is not helping either , only recognizing them as chinese characters, we knew that already. Any help from fellow eBayers will be appreciated. 9 ¼ tall x. Wide x 4 ½ deep. 2 lbs 16 oz (954 gram) both. Very good condition, no cracks, scratches , discolorations or loss of paint. There is a problem with 1 figurine. There is a large chip at the end of the wings. The defect is invisible if you look at the figurine from a normal angle or point of view. It only becomes visible if you turn the figurine upside down and check it from that underneath point of view. If you have it displayed on the shelf or mantle or display case , you cant see it.
