This is a hand painted soup tureen from Italy. It is approximately 60 plus years old. It was brought from Northern Italy in 1957. It is signed at the bottom. The soup ladle has a chip on the handle, and a few minor chips on the edges. Very easy to repair with a bit of acrylic paint. The expression on the face is whimsical. There is a chip, small, on the beak. The glazing is in very good condition. There is a bit of light cracking on the breast. See pictures for details. A very beautiful keepsake piece for collector. Extremely difficult to replicate. The piece stands about 12″ x 12″.
