This antique figurine from Ludwigsburg, Germany depicts a beautiful oriole bird perched on a tree trunk. The piece is made of high-quality porcelain and boasts a stunning yellow and black color scheme. The figurine stands at 6.75 inches tall and is a true original from the early 1800s or possibly before. Has a blue Ludwigsburg Duke Carl Eugen period mark. (“C”s interlocked in blue, with one reversed, with a ducal coronet above). My research on this mark indicates that the company employed a painter and sculptor from Meissen.
