A really nice plate made by Worcester in the 18th century. The plate is hand painted with a superb bird scene in the center including two birds in a landscape surrounding and the rim has a blue ground color with a nice gold trim over it with some gold flower garlands going into the well of the plate. A really good quality piece! A very elegant plate and the gilding is just superb! The plate is in superb condition with a small circular flaw to the rim with an imperfection in the center and around it the blue color didn’t perfectly take. This is from when it was made. The center right under the bird has a flake to the color which was filled in with pink color to make it look like a flower and it blends in perfectly and display superbly as well. The dish is 1.25 inches tall and has a diameter of just over 8.5 inches. It is marked with their blue half moon type mark as shown. A nice waste / slop bowl made by Worcester in the 18th century. It is hand painted with a nice polychrome bird scene to the front as well as some flowers to the rest of the side and another one to the bottom inside. Gold trim to the top edge. The piece is in superb condition with some use marks to the inside but otherwise perfect. The bowl is 2.75 inches tall and has a diameter of 6.125 inches. The piece is not marked which is not unusual for their early wares. It has an old museum or collector’s ID underneath as shown. Antique Worcester Soup Tureen with Underplate & Lid. Colorful Hand Painted Chinoiserie Garden Tree Birds c. A wonderful hand painted English porcelain soup tureen hand painted in a vivid palette of Chinoiserie style elements featuring a vase of florals, trees, birds in garden and a basket of florals. The colors and themes of typical Chinese export are displayed in this varied pattern. The rim of tureen bowl as well as the underplate offer a fluted and gilded border with ornate handles that have a pair of Empire mask detail. The tureen lid has formed gilded rose and vine with leaves in relief. No marks to indicate maker but I do feel it is very likely Worcester. There is a small green hand painted W on the base of tureen near rim. Stunning colors of rich red, browns, pink, turquoise, blue, teal and orange with elaborate gilt details throughout. Tureen height is 9 inches to top of finial. Width from handle to handle is 11 inches. Underplate diameter is 11 inches. Opening of the bowl is 7.75 inches from rim to rim. Condition is as follows: the lid has a repair and a chip near rim. Tureen base has a small dark crazing line on the inner rim. The underplate has no damage or repairs.
