Life-sized Maitland Smith Porcelain Ceramic Rooster Statue Figurine – Blue and White This is truly one big bird! Features white and light gray porcelain body with light and dark blue hand painted details. It is well made with superior quality as are all Maitland Smith collectibles. Designed and handcrafted in Thailand. Has Maitland Smith label on bottom along with 3 old felt dots to protect the bottom and furniture. We suggest that they be replaced with new ones. Its a very rare and beautiful estate find. Most collectors cherish a piece like this for a lifetime so they do not come up for sale quite often. This handsome happy fellow is life size! He measures 15.5 inches tall by 10.5 inches wide at center from chest to tip of tail. Measured from wing to wing is 6.5 inches wide. Base (his feet) is about 7 x 6 inches. In very good vintage condition. No cracks or chips. The only flaw we found is on his wing in the back. Cannot confirm if it’s a production flaw or scuff.
