A really nice figurine of colorful pheasant type bird perched in a tree made by Bow around the mid 18th century. He is hiding in the center of the tree with the bocage all around him on a nice base with puce highlighted scrolls. The figure is nicely modeled and hand painted. The flowers and bird are especially nice! The piece is in superb condition with a few minor chips and an odd looking area to the back in one area of the bocage – it seems like a factory repair to me rather than a restoration. From the front that is invisible. A firing crack to the edge of the base but all in all as nice as you can find! The piece is unmarked underneath but that’s the norm. The figurine is 8.5 inches tall, 5.75 inches wide and 4.5 inches deep. If you like my goodies have a look at my other auctions for a lot more top maker pieces like Derby, Chelsea and so on. A really fun figurine made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. It is of a female chicken aka hen that was modeled by the famous Luise Terletzki-Scherf who made so many other fun animal models! This piece here is no different. A very playful piece with nice colorful flowers on the front base. Lots of detail to the piece all around including the feathers in relief some of which have been painted black. The face has a bit of yellow, red and black to it. One cannot help but be cheered up by her pieces! The figure is 3.75 inches tall, 2 inches wide and 3 inches deep. A neat Art Deco cockatoo bird figurine made by Augarten during the mid 20th century. The figure is superbly modeled (originally by the famous Mathilde Jaksch) in a very typical pose for this sort of bird and hand painted with just enough color to make it a very elegant piece. The colors are stronger than on the other version I own. The figurine looks great! It is 4.5 inches tall, 3.75 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The piece is in perfect condition! It is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, Made in Austria in red, a painter’s number 30 and the model number 1599. A very hard to find figurine of a parakeet bird first designed by Robert Ullmann in 1934. This is the green version which is rarer than the blue one – I have seen the blue one a few times but never the green one so I was excited to add him to my collection. We had three of these little birds when I was a kid and they were a lot of fun! The green one used to play Yahtzee with us which was the funniest thing. The figure is superbly modeled grooming itself while sitting on some cubes – not sure what they are meant to be but they look rather Art Deco. A very realistic piece and quite a typical pose for these birds if you are familiar with them. The figurine is in perfect condition which is amazing given all the fragile parts to this figure, especially the tail. The piece is 5 inches tall, 5.25 inches from head to tail and 2.5 inches deep. The figure is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black 77 or LL as well as a 234 as the painter’s mark, impressed letter J and number 1724 and on the side of the base it has Robert Ullmann 1934 impressed. A really fun figurine made by Nymphenburg around the mid 20th century. It is of a female chicken aka hen that was modeled by the famous Luise Terletzki-Scherf who made so many other fun animal models! This piece here is no different. A very playful piece with nice colorful flowers on the front base. Lots of detail to the piece all around including the feathers in relief some of which ahve been painted black. The face has a bit of yellow, red and black to it. One cannot help but be cheered up by her pieces! The figure is 3.75 inches tall, just under 2 inches wide and 2.875 inches deep. A very hard to find figurine of a parakeet bird first designed by Robert Ullmann in 1934. This is the green version which is rarer than the blue one – I have seen the blue one a few times but never the green one so I was excited to add him to my collection. We had three of these little birds when I was a kid and they were a lot of fun! The green one used to play Yahtzee with us which was the funniest thing. The figure is superbly modeled grooming itself while sitting on some cubes – not sure what they are meant to be but they look rather Art Deco. A very realistic piece and quite a typical pose for these birds if you are familiar with them. The figurine is in perfect condition which is amazing given all the fragile parts to this figure, especially the tail. The piece is 5 inches tall, 5.25 inches from head to tail and 2.5 inches deep. The figure is marked underneath with the blue shield with the crown on top as well as the word Wien underneath, a black 77 or LL as well as a 234 as the painter’s mark, impressed letter J and number 1724 and on the side of the base it has Robert Ullmann 1934 impressed.
