Herend Rothschild Bird Dessert Plate. Fresh from a Dallas estate is this rare dessert/pie/salad plate in the Songbird- Bluebird (SOBI) pattern by Herend. The SOBI pattern is a hand painted image of a variety of birds sitting on branches. The plate has motif #1 of the Eastern Bluebird on the left side of plate. The blue painted mark reads, Herend Hungary H andpainted 1 520-0-00/SOBI-1. There is also an imprint mark that reads, Herend 1520. The design is a round white porcelain plate with a basketweave pattern near the edge, and a ruffled/scalloped rim trimmed in 24K gold. This shape and embossing of this plate matches those in Rothschild Bird pattern. The plate measures 8 1/4″ across by 1″ tall. This piece is in Perfect Condition with no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches or repairs! Up for your consideration is this 58-piece grouping of vintage porcelain Hollandse-Landschappen…. This grouping has 20 dessert tea plates, 18 demitasse cups and 20 saucers. This luncheon set has a beautiful colorful bird pattern on a white porcelain background trimmed in gold… With a deep bright green & brown leaf pattern accented on the back side…. With some lovely floral designs… The Luncheon plates measure 4 1/2″ in diameter and the cups measure 2 1/2″ tall and the saucers measure 5 1/2 in diameter. Nick on the rim…. I see 4 cups with tiny nicks…. I see no other chips or cracks…. All the pieces are very clean…. 8-cups have Fuut and 10 cups have Kievit and the demitasse small dessert plates have Grutto…. This is a great large grouping of fine Hollandse Landschappen porcelain..
