Antique Turn Wien Austria Porcelain Figurine – Maiden with Dove – 13. Beautiful antique Austrian porcelain figurine depicting a romantic maiden holding a dove and bouquet, standing on a naturalistic base. The piece features delicate hand-painted details, soft pastel tones, and elegant flowing drapery with subtle gilt accents. Marked on the underside with the blue crown and “Turn Wien – Made in Austria” mark, along with impressed numbers 4045 / 22. Maker: Turn Wien. Crown hallmark on base. Overall good antique condition with age-appropriate wear. Hairline crack visible at the neck (see photos). Small chip/loss to the bird’s tail. Minor firing imperfections and light surface wear consistent with age. Base shows wear and old felt pads attached. This stunning large antique/vintage Dresden Germany figurine is of a couple putting their bird into a birdcage – they are accompanied by their dog and two sheep. He figurine measures approximately 9 inches high, 12 1/2 inches long and 8 1/2 inches wide making it a large and impressive piece. As can be seen in the pictures, there are no cracks or nicks, all fingers, flowers and lace are intact on this outstanding piece of porcelain. On the base is the Carl Thieme backstamp and a number. Large antique Japanese Kutani porcelain vase with red and gilt decoration, bird-and-flower panels, and ornate molded side handles. Marked to the base / Kutani-zo, meaning Made by Kutani. Offered here is an antique Japanese Kutani porcelain vase, likely dating to the late Meiji to Taisho period, circa late 19th to early 20th century. The vase is decorated in a rich Kutani palette with iron red, brown, black, white, and extensive gilt highlights. The body features finely painted panels of birds, flowering branches, blossoms, foliage, and decorative reserves, set against a dense red and gilt patterned ground. The shoulder and neck are decorated with intricate gilt scrollwork and floral borders, while the sides are fitted with bold molded handles in the form of stylized beast or mask-like handles, finished in red enamel with gilt accents. The underside bears a red Kutani mark reading , pronounced Kutani-zo, meaning Made by Kutani. This mark is commonly associated with Japanese Kutani export wares and indicates the piece was made in the Kutani tradition rather than being a specific artist signature.
