Antique Ludwigsburg German 1800s Porcelain Oriole Bird on Tree Trunk Figurine
This antique figurine from Ludwigsburg, Germany depicts a beautiful oriole bird perched on a tree trunk. The piece is made of high-quality porcelain and boasts a stunning yellow and black color scheme. The figurine stands at 6.75 inches tall and is a true original from the early 1800s or possibly before. Has a blue Ludwigsburg Duke Carl Eugen period mark. (“C”s interlocked in blue, with one reversed, with a ducal coronet above). My research on this mark indicates that the company employed a painter and sculptor from Meissen. This piece is in excellent damage free condition. Please see photos for details. This handmade piece is perfect for collectors of antique decor and sculptures. The figurine is a great addition to any collection and is sure to be a conversation starter.
