Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung Porcelain Bird 8270 Germany 7 AS IS. Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung Porcelain Bird – Model 8270. Beautiful vintage glazed porcelain bird figurine by Lorenz Hutschenreuther, Germany, from the Kunstabteilung (Art Department) line. The realistically modeled bird has an open beak and dramatically raised tail and is perched on a naturalistic branch with foliage. The original paper label was photographed before the figurine was mounted and reads. Lorenz Hutschenreuther Kunstabteilung 0248006 / 8270. Measurements: Porcelain bird measures approximately 7″ high × 6″ long × 3.5 wide. Wooden display base measures approximately 4″ × 4″. IMPORTANT CONDITION INFORMATION: A portion of the original porcelain leaf/support at the bottom of the figurine was broken. Because the loss left the bird unable to stand securely on its own, it was permanently epoxied to the non-original wooden display base shown in the photographs. The original Hutschenreuther paper identification label is now concealed between the porcelain and wooden base. A photograph taken before the bird was mounted showing the original 0248006 / 8270 label is included in the listing. Despite the damage, the bird itself displays beautifully, and the wooden base provides a stable and attractive presentation. Please examine all photographs carefully, particularly the close-up photographs of the damaged/support area, before purchasing.

A figurine of a cockatoo bird made by Nymphenburg in the 20th century. It is hand painted elegantly with nice colors and is just plain cute. This one is the rarer orange colored version. The bird is sitting on a branch in a flower pot. The piece is 6.5 inches tall, 2.5 inches wide and 2.25 inches deep. Marked with the impressed shield mark as well as numbers 677 and P. Also marked with an incised artist mark LS for L. It is also marked with the green Nymphenburg shield mark as shown in the pictures. Another impressed shield mark on one front leg of the flower pot. Good vintage condition overall. Age-appropriate crazing throughout, consistent with antique Satsuma porcelain. Some gilt wear along rims and decorative borders. No cracks or repairs observed. Each piece is richly decorated with elegant peacocks perched among flowering cherry blossom branches. Soft pink blossoms, green and blue plumage, rocky landscape details, and extensive gilt outlines create a layered composition inspired by traditional Japanese nature painting. The warm ivory ground features fine age-related crazing, giving the set the softly antiqued appearance often associated with Satsuma-style pottery. Deep brown geometric borders and gold-painted rims frame each scene, while the cups feature sculptural gilt handles and complementary floral decoration. The five saucers display variations of the same peacock and cherry blossom scene, emphasizing the hand-finished character of the set. This is a nice vintage Japanese signed Fukugawa porcelain vase with bird & flowers decoration. In pretty nice shape as the pics with no nicks or chips but it does have a glaze crack / crazing line seen in pics 10 & 11 and it comes exactly as shown. It measures 9 1/2″ tall, it is 4 1/4″ at the widest point, the base is 3 1/4″ in diameter and the top opening is 1 1/8″ in diameter.

A wonderful early pair of Anne Gordon’s highly distinctive hand-modelled birds. Each parrot is perched on a white modeled tree trunk decorated with applied leaves and caterpillars. The birds have beautifully painted turquoise, blue, green and black plumage and are modeled as a complementary facing pair. Anne Gordon became particularly celebrated for her highly naturalistic ceramic vegetables, fruits, animals and birds. Marks: Painted AG monogram and “69” to underside. Condition: Please note that one parrot has significant damage/loss to one of the long tail feathers, clearly photographed. There may also be minor age-related wear, small chips or losses to the delicate applied foliage and other projecting elements. An unusual opportunity to acquire a signed early pair of Anne Gordon parrots despite the condition issue.
