KPM Berlin – Late 18th / Early 19th Century c. Hand-painted porcelain plate with exotic bird & insects. Diameter: 24.5 cm. A fine and early KPM Berlin porcelain plate, dating to the transitional late 18th / early 19th century period. Beautifully hand-painted with a vibrant exotic bird perched on a flowering branch, surrounded by delicately rendered insects in the naturalistic style favored by KPM artists of the era. The plate features a molded rococo-influenced border with floral reliefs and gilt highlights, showcasing the exceptional craftsmanship of KPM during the early Prussian royal period. The brushwork is crisp and detailed, with rich colors and excellent depth. Marked on the reverse with the underglaze blue sceptre mark, confirming early KPM manufacture. Technique: Hand-painted porcelain, gilt accents. Condition: Excellent – no chips, cracks, restoration or hairlines. Provenance: Private European collection.
