ANTIQUE JAPANESE AODE KUTANI PORCELAIN PARROT STATUE. The featured item represents a Japanese kutani porcelain sculpture that measures approximately 12 1/4″ tall and 6 1/4″ wide between the wings. The piece depicts a figure of a parrot perched on tree stump. The statue is hand painted in Aode Kutani style in aubergine, green, yellow and blue enamels as well as iron red and gilt. There is an impressed mark on the base but too small and illegible to make it out. The item comes in overall good condition with the only issue being a repair to the crest. Aside that, normal wear like some scuffs, marks and scratches as well small production flaws and imperfections.
