These are HEAVY, Large Substantial Statues. Jean Gille/Vion & Charles Baury are the founders of the Rue de Paradis-Poissonniere Factory of France in about 1845. They made figurines, statues, dinnerware, and decorative items. Vion and Baury, along with someone named Poyard (possibly faience artist Charles Poyard) were the successors to Jean-Marie Gille’s porcelain factory in Paris when Gille died in 1868. The partnership with Poyard lasted but a few years. Vion and Baury continued to operate the factory until the mid 1870’s when a new factory was opened in Choisy-le-Roi. Baury died in 1879 and Vion continued with the business. In 1880 the factory was expanded and went bankrupt in 1889. I take great care and time to package items carefully and securely.
